A Finance Assistant position with a credit control and sales ledger focus paying up to £28K
Your new company Hays are working with a logistics business in the Leighton Buzzard area who need and experienced Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk to join the team on a permanent basis.
Your new role The main duties for this role is to take ownership and management of the aged debt portfolio and of the sales ledger account.
Typical day to day duties will include but not limited to the following areas:
Maintain customer contact through telephone, email and letters.
Run weekly age debt reports
Manage the escalation process
Query resolution
Management of the sales ledger importing invoices weekly
Daily bank reconciliations and bank transfers
Accounts administration
What you’ll need to succeed Experience in a similar credit control/sales ledger position with a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of Sage50 is ideal, excellent written and verbal communications skills. Highly organised with good time management skills, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
