CPS are working with a world-leading Defence Manufacturing organisation based in Wales and the Southwest. They develop advanced surveillance and navigation products and systems for their clients across the globe. These include clients in both the public and private sectors. They are in need to hire a Customer Service Engineer on a Full time basis to be responsible for my client’s maritime domain awareness systems for customers across the globe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience as systems engineering to either enhance, or begin a career in the defence and surveillance sector. All backgrounds are welcome.
As a Customer Service Engineer (Systems), you will be on a shift rota, covering 37.5 hours p/week. Overtime is available if wanted.
The role and main responsibilities:
Monitoring and overseeing the deployment of maritime domain awareness systems Act as a figure of support for the Engineering Support Team Data mitigation Provide training and support for customer’s systems Liaise with internal and external stakeholders of the company
Skills/experience:
Essential – Degree in Maths, Computing, or Engineering Able to demonstrate experience of software system deployment and maintenance Understanding of how infrastructure systems applications work Experience of disaster recovery failover Thorough knowledge of virtualisation platforms
