We have partnered with a distinguished global design firm that boasts a network of offices across the world. They are currently seeking a talented individual to assume the position of Director of Design (Interiors) at their prestigious London location, working on a permanent basis.
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the overall design process within the interiors department, taking charge of project management, client relations, and staff development. Within this role, you will work closely with the senior management team and collaborate closely with project teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Guide and advise design teams to ensure consistent and high-quality design
Utilise knowledge of materials and products to carry out design
Drive conceptual design excellence and provide guidance during project development
Serve as project designer on selected projects, considering client needs, budget, schedule and site issues
Engage clients in explorations for design solutions
Communicate design intent clearly and effectively
Assist in design presentations to clients and prepare fee projections
Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Implement and enforce the client’s standards is maintained during development
Identify new business opportunities and develop client relationships
Assist in marketing campaigns, award submittals, and press releases
Collaborate with project managers on budget and schedule constraints
Mentor and motivate design teams
Participate in recruiting and interviews of professional staff
Key Skills:
Extensive experience working within a similar role including supervisory experience
Proficient in 3D modelling and graphic software
Strong design talent and leadership skills for large-scale interior design projects
Advanced knowledge of design, construction methodology, materials and FF&E
Efficient interpersonal skills, both written and visual
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to manage and mentor design staff effectively
Thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets
Effective prioritisation, presentation and negotiation skills
Proficient in Revit/BIM is preferred
Thorough knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines
