Seeking a highly motivated person as Manufacturing Engineer in our Drug Product Manufacturing (DPM) facility in Sandwich, UK. The successful candidate will learn & actively support a wide range of process development and manufacturing activities for clinical drug product supplies. Primary accountability is in performing daily manufacturing activities for oral solid dosage forms focusing on Pfizer Continuous Manufacturing Modules (with associated Process Control and Process Analytical Technologies), semi continuous coating process, and inline visual inspection system. Additionally, the colleague will contribute to the development of DPM technology capabilities by supporting novel process development and process understanding studies. • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising efficiently with Formulators, Engineers, Modelers, PAT scientists and Technicians, to deliver manufacturing campaign to produce solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules, multi-particulate etc.).
• Accountable for assisting technicians during the manufacturing campaigns using conventional or novel processes (e.g. Pfizer Continuous Manufacturing Module, powder blending, granulation, tablet compression, encapsulation, film coating etc.)
• Perform in-process operational checks associated with clinical manufacturing (examples include sample characteristic i.e. tablet friability and disintegration tests).
• Actively participate in completing and controlling GMP documentation such as (Batch Records, Logbooks, SOP’s etc.).

Qualifications – Must-Have

• Bachelors Level qualification in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science or other Engineering discipline. This role is suitable for a newly qualified graduate or graduate with some initial industrial experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills and accountability in day-to-day interactions with an operational focus on business goals, customers and process required
• Suitable comprehension of engineering & manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated competency in MS Office
• Experience with data visualization software is preferred
