Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant Location: Primary School in Lambeth Reports to: Class Teacher and EYFS Coordinator Job Summary: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be working with children aged 3-5 years in the early years foundation stage of their education. You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in the delivery of the early years curriculum, ensuring that all children are engaged and supported in their learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS Coordinator to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment for all children. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in the delivery of the early years curriculum, including planning and delivering activities and assessing childrens progress. Work with individual children or groups of children to provide additional support with classroom activities. Provide support to children with personal care, as required. Help to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment for all children. Support children with organisational skills and study skills. Implement behaviour management strategies in accordance with school policies and procedures. Attend meetings as required, including training sessions and staff meetings. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children in an early years setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers. Understanding of the early years foundation stage curriculum. Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office. A passion for education and a commitment to supporting children to achieve their full potential. Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent. Salary: The salary for this role will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
