We’re looking for an EHO/Disrepair Surveyor to join our team in London on a Fixed Term Contract until December 2022.
You’ll ensure the effective management and delivery of compliance related repairs including Environmental Health Orders and legal disrepair cases. With a recognised degree level qualification in Building Surveying, you’ll ensure that compliance repairs are planned and delivered to meet legislative and statutory requirements, to maximise efficiencies and provide value for money.
Your thorough understanding of the Social Housing Sector, Landlord Compliance and servicing requirements and your previous experience of successfully delivering in a similar role and a demonstrable commitment to achieving customer service excellence, means that you’ll make sure that a high quality service is delivered to residents achieving high customer satisfaction and excellent quality of work.
You’ll have significant knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, leasehold legislation, and other legislation relevant to asset management, along with a detailed knowledge of construction contracts and their effective administration. You’ll also have a commercial understanding of value for money drivers in construction and will ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and legislation ensuring all personal risk assessments are completed and reviewed and relevant action taken to mitigate risk.
Using your excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills you’ll manage casework by liaising with staff across Clarion as well as external parties, including residents, surveyors, contractors, solicitors, local authorities and Councillors and MPs.You’ll collate documentation to facilitate decision making and keep accurate, up to date records of actions taken to assist in case management and reporting requirements and you’ll represent Clarion at Court when required.
Able to write and present complex repair reports, provide solutions and positive outcomes for residents, you’ll be responsible for quality inspections, defining a clear scope and specification of work and conducting pre and post inspections to ensure the quality of work and customer satisfaction.
