About the Role
We present a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Electrical Technician to join our Engineering Team at Glendullan Engineering Centre, Dufftown.
Playing a critical part of the maintenance team on site, you will be part of a wider network – working within 1 of 5 of Diageo’s Malt Distilling maintenance centres. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of all electrical assets across our malt distilling sites.
As a first response for support, you will work closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups to maximise efficiency of operational assets on site. This includes the emergency response to plant breakdown situations, where you will respond promptly and efficiently to analyse, fault find and repair root cause problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
Working Hours
Working hours are Mon – Thurs 08.00 – 16.30, Fri 08.00 – 14.00, and working on an on-call rota every 1 in 6 weeks to include weekends.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels. You will be actively engaging with partners and the Maintenance Planning Department to ensure valuable Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks are at the core of the Maintenance Strategy. You will also be required to participate in Root Cause Problem Solving sessions.
You will be organised and self-reliant, handling your own workload and priorities while solving problems and supporting process and equipment improvement projects.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
If you are a time-served electrical technician (previously completed apprenticeship also considered), with excellent analytical skills and a natural ability to drive improvements then we want to hear from you!
As some of our sites operate on a 24/7 basis, the jobholder will be required to provide 24hr breakdown cover as part of a pre-determined rota, therefore a full UK driving license will be required to drive company vehicles.
