Basic: £75,000 – £100,000 + benefits

Role: 30% hands on development / 70% strategic leadership

Location: hybrid – 4 days in the Manchester city centre, 1 day remote

Our client is a fast growing, global SaaS company who provide a collaborative platform which ensures their clients work as efficiently and accurately as possible. This business has tripled in size over the last 5 years and have plans to double in size again over the next 3.

As Engineering Manager , will play a key role in the strategic development of 2 Engineering Squads (8 people in total) along with be technically hands on with code reviews and mock-ups. You will also be active in client meetings and support security due diligence, audits, and report writing. You’ll create a collaborative environment where developers can grow and support communication across the business to ensure effective product delivery. Key Responsibilities: Engineering Manager

• Hands on C# .Net JavaScript development (code reviews and mock-ups)
• Technical leadership across 2 squads (8 Developers and QA’s)
• Participate in client meetings
• Build an inclusive and diverse engineering culture that people want to be a part of
• Help Engineers to become high performers via personal & professional development: listen to them, support them when things are hard, and celebrate their successes through 1-1’s
• Support security due diligence, audits, and reports
• Foster collaboration, enable knowledge sharing, and effective product delivery across the business

Experience Required:Engineering Manager

• Strong C# .Net JavaScript Development experience
• Previous technical leadership (Developers) within a software or technology vendor
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to drive and maintain a positive culture
• Strong communication skills to collaborate externally with clients and internally across the business
• Experience managing multiple streams of work
• A proactive approach to self and team development
• Ability to organise, prioritise workload across a team
• Passionate about building and enabling autonomous cross-functional teams
• Commercial acumen is essential with a proven track record of improvements without lowering standards
