Are you looking for a new challenge or want to develop as an engineering process subject matter expert? If so, the Technical Process and Assurance team are looking for an Engineering Process Lead to join their team of highly skilled professionals.

The Technical Process and Assurance Team sets the DE&S Engineering Processes, and the Assurance Framework used across DE&S to ensure that delivered capability meets our customers’ needs and is safe to use, secure to use, sustainable, and is a supportable design.

We need someone who understands the need to comply with regulation, legislation and MoD policy, and can shape DE&S Engineering Function processes to make them user-friendly so they help engineers deliver the right capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing engineering policy and processes and ensuring they are fit for purpose
• Provide support and guidance to ensure the policy process are applied across the business
• Support assurance activities to monitor the maturity of the process application and track improvement activity.
• Coordinate and monitor engineering function Business management system and controlled document library management and activities

Person specification

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

• Relevant Level 4 qualification (or higher) or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
• Knowledge of developing and monitoring engineering processes and understands the need to comply with regulation, legislation and MoD policy
• Applied knowledge of quality assurance within the acquisition environment.
• Experience gained from involvement with multiple projects and/or domains.

In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
