I am looking for an Environments Management Administrator to join my client’s team and learn on the job all aspects of Environments Management. My client is a leading IT Systems Integrator operating within the UK defence sector.
Your role will be once trained responsibility for the day-to-day support and management of the technical environments which include the physical, virtualised and network infrastructures.
In this Environments Management Administrator role, you will learn vulnerability scanning, patching as well as documentation. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for an entry level IT role with exciting career progression opportunities within the UK IT defence sector.
Your experience will be a desire to learn the following:
As an Environments Management Administrator, you will learn and then deliver the deployment of builds and releases as per the appropriate Build Guides or Work Instructions.
Interested in learning about routine checks of technical environments to maintain system availability, performance, and capacity, including account management and backup processes.
Gain experience of maintaining technical documentation.
Ensure environments are available and have capacity at the point of project requirement.
Troubleshooting, managing, and tracking environment incidents, supporting service requests and any security related test activities, and tracking unapproved changes in the environments.
Act as point of contact for all Environments related issues across the project and escalate where necessary.
The right candidate will have good communication and organisational skills, be able to prioritise and be willing to learn new skills.
