Our client, a busy Manufacturing company in the Cookstown area, currently require an Estimator to join their team.

Source and estimate new and existing sales enquiries with a view to building our customer base.
Create accurate quotations whilst ensuring a focus on cost-effective solutions to product design and manufacturing challenges.
First point of contact from all customers and suppliers on new pricing enquiries, inclusive of sheet metal, structural steel, CNC and weld fabrication requirements.
Produce quotations for suitable sales enquiries. This involves reading and interpreting information from technical drawings and samples and loading into a nesting system to create accurate costing reports and manufacturing.
Identifying and recognising opportunities to reduce cost within designs.
Building works routings with practical shop floor flow in mind.
Pricing reviews of repeat work.
Tracking and analysing the success rate of quotations.
Monitor production costs against planned costs and actioning variances.

Essential experience

Use of Microsoft Office.
Work as part of a team.
Work on your own initiative and prioritise responsibilities.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and samples.
Organised, focused and results orientated.
Attention to detail.
Work on initiative whilst prioritising responsibilities.
Problem solving skills (ability to solve manufacturing problems etc).

Desirable experience

Use of Sigma Nest or similar software.
Have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Engineering/Construction Background.
