An exciting opportunity for a Field Technician or someone from a 2nd Line Support background.

Position: Field Support EngineerLocation: Edinburgh area (valid driving license required) Office: Midlothian Salary: £28,000 per annum plus benefitsResponsibilities:

• Conduct regular, monthly visits to clients in the Edinburgh area to provide support for ongoing projects
• Provide help desk support when required, addressing technical issues and troubleshooting remotely
• Perform ad hoc duties as a field technician, including installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless communication and effective project coordination
• Act as a technical resource for clients, offering expertise and guidance on system implementation and optimisation
• Continuously update and enhance technical knowledge to stay current with industry trends and best practices
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project progress, and technical documentation
• Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building strong professional relationships

Requirements:

• Valid driving license for travel to client sites in the Edinburgh area
• Previous experience in a similar field support or 2nd line support role is preferred
• Proficiency in providing help desk support and troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of relevant systems, hardware, and software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to different client environments
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
