Our client is a reputable company specializing in steel stockholding and services. With over 35 years of experience serving major global markets, they are known for their excellence in providing plates, profiles, and in-house processing.

They are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious individual to join our finance department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small team and embark on or advance your career in finance.

Responsibilities:

Processing purchase invoices, both steel and non-steel.
Handling internal and external queries and discrepancies.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Assisting with payment runs.
Supporting Purchase Ledger end-of-month reports.
Updating financial spreadsheets and reports.
Completing credit account application forms for suppliers.
Generating sales invoices and credit notes.
Handling customs documentation for imports and exports.
Setting up new accounts for customers and suppliers.
Performing other ad hoc duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain consistency in work.
Willingness to contribute and assist in various tasks.
Attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload effectively.
Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment.
Adaptable and proactive in using initiative.
Proficient in IT packages, including MS Office and Sage.

You will be offered full-time employment with a competitive salary based on a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £22,000 – £24,000
