Robert Walters have been engaged to support a dynamic business in the 18month FTC appointment of a Finance Business Partner

You will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, re-forecasting, standard costing and forecasting model, and support the Financial Controller in providing quality financial information and the production of the annual financial plan.

Duties:

• Provide financial support and guidance to the Commercial management team in decision making and strategic planning.
• Providing sound financial input and robust challenge to business cases and subsequent financial tracking and reporting.
• Developing financial modelling to support departmental projects and initiatives.
• Provide effective people management to develop team capability, direct performance towards organisational goals, ensuring the standards of all colleagues meet the requirements of the organisation and ensure adequate training programmes are in place as appropriate for each area.
• Management of the monthly financial close process. Production of management accounts with updated full year forecast, variance analysis & commentary for Financial Controller’s review prior to submission to parent company.
• Working closely with FBP Engineering & Operations to ensure accurate forecast & commentary on reporting.
• Responsible for accurate, timely and efficient completion of all submission templates and reporting to parent for monthly reporting, annual financial plan and ad hoc requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified accountant/QBE with relevant post qualified experience
• Strong Commercial/FP&A track record
• Strong Excel skills with ability to create and use advanced formulae, pivot tables and dashboards.
• Commercially astute with an inquisitive nature and desire to understand the drivers behind the numbers and reports.
• Strong planning and coordination skills to ensure expectations managed, results delivered and deadlines met.
• Ability to work at both a detailed and high level ie detailed level required when understanding business drivers behind numbers and reports versus the ability to understand the audience of reports and analysis and present information at a meaningful, relevant high level required for senior management.
• Experience working in a large Matrix organisation and a team environment
