We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to join our team based in Binley, Coventry. This is a first-class opportunity for an AAT/ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience person with exposure to the Manufacturing Industry to make a positive contribution to our company. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 – £44,000 per annum dependent on experience and career achievements. About the Finance Manager / Financial Controller role: You will be joining a dynamic, ambitious and fast-paced company with a diverse range of work on offer to a bright and enthusiastic individual therefore the candidate should be able to demonstrate strong IT experience along with excellent communication and presentation skills. This role is split between 2 people working together to complete all tasks within the accounts department. (Accounts Assistant already in place). The start date of this role will be the beginning of June 2023. For the first 4 months the successful candidate will be working alongside the current Finance Manager who will be retiring from our company, so this will be a training/handover period About us: Wickman Coventry Ltd is an OEM Machine tool design and 6 million plus turnover, profitable Machine Tool Manufacturing Company now in its 98th year with 45 employees based in Coventry, with overseas subsidaries. Benefits we offer: Flexibility with working hours dependent on requirements role specific Competitive salary 32 days holiday (inc statutory holidays) Company pension scheme Life Insurance Cover Cycle to work scheme Your responsibilities as our Finance Manager / Financial Controller will include: Monthly management accounts and supporting schedules from a trial balance Reporting of Financial accounts, Period end duties and audit preparation Financial accounting duties including journals, accruals and prepayments Cashflow reporting Forecasts and Budgeting VAT and Duty Deferment Assisting other managers in the preparation of annual budgets & business plans Payroll and pension processing Insurance renewals Year end audit Management of WIP with regular updates Managing of intercompany creditors and debtors R & D yearly tax claim Management of machine sales and capturing of associated costs Annual reporting to parent company auditors Note: The responsibilities listed do not necessarily embrace all aspects of the position What we re looking for in our Finance Manager / Financial Controller: AAT/ACCA qualified or Qualified by Experience with exposure to Manufacturing Industry Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Navision and an understanding of Sage line 50 would be advantageous Excellent accountancy skills with at least three years experience Outstanding communication skills The ability to work on several tasks simultaneously Team player If you re looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Finance Manager / Financial Controller, we look forward to hearing from you
