Finance Manager, Global Revenue – Finance – London The Role The Global Revenue team are responsible for the calculation of management and performance fees for several of the Aviva Investors global businesses. The team act as subject matter experts, supporting the wider business by providing invaluable insight into the key drivers of asset management business profitability.This role is ideally suited to an individual with a solid foundation in Finance, who is looking for an opportunity to obtain a core understanding of the asset management industry and a high profile role which is continually evolving. Individuals are provided with a fantastic platform to learn, build knowledge and perform a key role in the team. Responsibilities • Undertaking global revenue processes in the delivery of actual monthly revenues, including the monthly accruals and billing. • Coordinating inputs to revenue system across AI’s global businesses ensuring static data such as fee rates are kept up to date and reconciled back to client IMAs on a periodic basis. • Liaison with third party fund and fee information providers in order to better understand fees and flows and ensure completeness and accuracy of source data.• Support the wider Finance teams to understand variance to plan/budget/forecast.• Identifying issues in global revenues which require escalation/remedial action. Ensure these actions are followed through and completed in a timely manner.• Undertake Performance fees with full understanding of the complex modelling to support the calculation.• Co-ordination with client relationship managers to facilitate accurate revenue recognition and timely fee billing for external clients.• Provide assistance for the “core” Finance teams, including the business partnering team, FP&A team, offshore Billing and Revenue team to assist in the understanding of the revenue streams. Work closely with these teams to provide necessary input into their cycles (forecasting, planning, desk profitability reviews etc.).• Co-ordination between international Finance teams to better understand global revenues.• Provide support to international Finance teams on all aspects of Revenue as a global expert. Requirements • Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred)• Experience of defining and implementing solutions to client requirements• Experience of multiple fund structures desirable (SICAVs, OEICs, TTFs, segregated mandates)• Excellent networking and communication skills, enabling the role holder to engage across the business, analyse information, and to establish & maintain effective relationships• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the drivers of revenue and challenge variances on complex revenue streams.• Ability to challenge existing processes implement innovative solutions• Knowledge of planning, budgeting & forecasting techniques & principles• Previous experience within the asset management or financial services industries is preferable• Experience in either Financial or Management accounting desirable• Knowledge of Revport Revenue Management and Fee Billing Calculation System desirable About us We are a global asset manager with broad and deep expertise across all major asset classes.
