Overall Liberty Guild Recruitment profile
The Liberty Guild is a progressive assembly of the finest souls in our industry. And we’re always looking for new members to join the family and endorse our founding belief that ‘freedom works’. And here inclusivity is a reflex, not an initiative. We’re a proud BCorp and would support working and returning parents to work around school drop off and pick up.
In a nutshell, we’re looking for obsessively curious, entrepreneurial problem solvers with great commercial experience gained working for highly credible organisations. We want to build a massively diverse (age, gender, race, religion, sexuality) and future facing team capable of reshaping a sector and making history.
It’s a hugely mutually supportive environment. But there is an edge. Everyone should provide a relentless unswerving rhythm to the business that drives us to success. You are no longer a General in your traditional agency commanding armies with limitless resources. Start-up life is more like a bottle fight in a pub carpark. In the dark. With real consequences. Needless to say, must be smart, but attitude and aptitude are more important than which University someone went to as is an inbuilt drive for self-betterment.
So, in more detail, there are five core traits we look for in any future Guild member:
1) Seamless balance of EQ/IQ/CQ
As with everything, balance is key. You can have all the smarts of Oxbridge but be emotionally sterile. Or you can be a beating heart of emotion and empathy without a creative leaning. A Guild member is a blend of the three. Lateral thinkers, creatively engaged, self-assured and always kind.
2) Self-motivated
We’re a start-up business and we’ll always be in start-up mode. Hungry, excited for the future, brave and committed to our cause. We’re after people who jump on and jump in. Those who create energy, have resolve and keep going without needing so much as a nudge from those around them. We use tech to support us on a daily basis, to make us more efficient and to give us reach around the world. So, we need everyone to have a modicum of tech-geek within – or willingness to learn.
3) Inquisitive
At The Liberty Guild we all dare to ask, not why, but why not? We breathe deeply and launch ourselves into the unknown, knowing that trying always conquers failing. We strive to constantly reinvent ourselves before others catch up. Life in perpetual beta. Good, but how can we make it better. Everyday. What’s new. How do we use it?
4) Relentless
We’re relentless in our quest for success – success for The Liberty Guild, our Clients and our Creatives. And to do this, our individual craft skills need to remain at the fore. Buttoned down on detail, client satisfaction and delivery-obsessed, embracing the tech and processes we’re built upon and wonderfully industrious.
5) Collaborative
We’re all in this wonderful Guild together. We work for our people and with them, so working together always trumps working alone. We all have a can-do attitude, a well contained ego and we lean-in and listen to those around us. Pride is wonderful but we’re never too proud to change our minds. We is smarter than me. Every time.
