The Role: As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the finance department and work closely with external auditors. Your primary responsibility will be managing financial reporting processes and ensuring adherence to reporting standards and regulations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our transformation from a traditional retailer to a global, best-in-class omni-channel business and end-to-end wellness provider.The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering the external reporting requirements of the Group. Your role will involve ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the development of a strong control environment.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:External Reporting

• Prepare and manage the delivery of accurate and timely external financial reports, including annual financial statements, interim financial statements, and other regulatory filings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and key disclosure requirements for annual reporting.
• Manage the Group’s external audit process, coordinating with external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any queries or issues. Liaise with internal finance teams as required.

Financial Control Environment

• Develop and maintain a robust control environment to support financial reporting and ensure compliance with internal control policies.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial information and mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify control gaps and implement remedial measures.
• Support balance sheet reviews and challenge the integrity of current processes.

Financial Reporting Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting procedures, reduce manual effort, and leverage technology solutions.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation.
• Support the Finance department in their development of reporting and financial understanding.
• Provide ad-hoc project support and analysis as required.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, and operations, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate reporting. Build long-standing cross-functional relationships, challenge constructively, and ensure professional objectivity.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to internal stakeholders and senior management.
• Act as a point of contact for external auditors and regulatory authorities, addressing queries and providing required information.

The Person: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• • A proven track record as a Financial Reporting Manager in a fast-paced, relevant industry.
  • An eye for detail, commercially minded, and passionate about adding value.
  • Experience working in a multi-site/multi-channel retail business.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and line managers and quickly building relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong personal impact, credibility, and influence at a senior level.
  • Collaborative and able to manage the demands of multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and networking skills.
  • Sound judgment and intellect.
  • Experience working with Unit4 ERP or similar.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, ever-evolving environment.
  • Able to multitask, manage several deliverables simultaneously, and be flexible to meet tight deadlines.
