Advantage Resourcing are seeking a Governance Lead to join a leading utilities business based in South Manchester.
The role:
The Governance Lead is responsible for governing and assuring a small portfolio of 1-3 projects for our client, ensuring Operations carries out the planned change projects on time, with qualified resources to produce quality outcomes to meet our clients customers’ expectations. They are the day-to-day lead for operational governance at a project level, escalating decisions to the Head of Operational Change Governance as required.
The Governance Lead is responsible for:
Influencing internal stakeholders to ensure our alignment to operational and assurance projects that influence our customer needs.
Contributing to the overall team strategy as a member of the team, as well as functional Business Planning as required.
Proactively lead and manage the service governance for projects assigned to you and ensure sustainable change is optimally delivered, including gating pre-reviews and formal quality gates.
Oversee the performance of activities related to accepting new requests, triage, expediting requests to the correct change channel and information re-prioritisation decisions.
Maintain strong status tracking of performance measures demonstrating value for money, identifying potential cost optimisation and articulating/enhancing customer value/benefit.
Identify the need for status reports and oversee the completion of this (creation, running and maintenance to be handed by the Governance Analyst).
Working with other relevant operations departments to feed into the demand forecasting process. Collate this information and support the Operational Governance team to manage demand for the team.
Ensuring alignment to and enhancement of quality and standards, include overall department performance measurement, internal customer engagement and feedback.
Coordinate with other governance leads to seek opportunities to further align change and engagement.
Overseeing the collation, monitoring, managing and reporting of all operational RAID related to change delivery items. Driving behaviours to proactively minimise risks turning into issues.
Driving, monitoring and reporting operational service improvements.
Supporting compliance for the function with internal and external audits, Price Control, ISO audits and monitoring and delivery against functional and Operational targets.
Drive the creation and ongoing management of the function’s policies designed to underpin our customer needs and drive our suppliers’ behaviours
