Electromechanical Design Graduate Engineer£25,000 – £30,00037 hours per week over 4 or 5 days per week, additional hours may be required as necessary to meet business commitments.Occasional UK and/or Overseas travel to customers.25 days holiday plus bank holidays and buy/sell options. Job PurposeAn Aerospace client of ours are looking for TWO Graduate Electromechanical Engineer to join our team.Working within a well-established Landing Gear Actuation Products team, the engineer will contribute toward the development of existing and NPI electromechanical actuation products for aerospace, marine and military applications. The role requires the application of engineering skills established during university with a plan to grow the engineer’s knowledge and understanding of electromechanical aerospace engineering. Key Duties and Responsibilities Development and modification of design documentation supporting existing and NPI products. Conduct trade studies and investigations in support of technical issues in development testing and production. Interfacing with internal customers (Operations, Supply Chain, etc.) to achieve project deliverable. Actively support development test engineering in operation and design of test rigs and equipment. Assist in the interpretation of customer’s requirements/specifications. Support and develop the design of products and associated requirement compliance matrices. Identify and communicate technical risks to projects stakeholders. Presentation of technical solutions at internal and external design reviews. Contribute to cross-functional teams and support problem solving and corrective action activities to resolve design issues, ATP failures and customer returns/failures. Support engineering changes, using Documentation Control Tools. Windchill . Technical Requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Evidence of problem-solving capability and methods Evidence of ‘hands-on’ experience, i.e., assembly / disassembly of products using hand tools. Experience with Design software packages – CAD software – ideally SOLIDWORKSQualificationsEssential: BEng / BSc in Engineering subject, i.e., Mechatronics, Aerospace, Automotive, etc. Desirable: Masters Level or Phd in Engineering subject, i.e., Mechatronics, Aerospace, Automotive, etc. Industry body recognised accreditation, i.e., incorporated, or chartered engineer status.
