Graduate Recruitment Consultant required to join Smile Educations graduate training scheme in Birmingham or Manchester.

Your job will be to recruit supply teachers and support staff to work in schools and build up relationships with the schools who need our support.

You will join our supportive team who work closely together and support each other, our owners work in the business every day and are always open to ideas and embrace change. Its important to us to have fun in the office and celebrate all successes together.

The graduate scheme involves a structured training period which will lead to a formal recruitment qualification this will include classroom training with industry experts and working closely alongside one of our highly successful Senior Consultants.

In the first few months you can expect to recruit staff to work in our schools so you will be:

• Writing adverts and searching on job boards
• Interviewing
• Conducting safeguarding checks
• Promoting Smile on social media
• Searching for CVs on job boards
• Attending fairs promoting Smile

Once you have hit your initial targets you will begin your business development training and start running your “own patch”. So, you will be given an area of schools to win business from, you will then:

• Make business development calls
• Visit schools for meetings
• Get involved in school events like careers fairs, sports days and summer fairs
• Present to groups of clients and attend promotional fairs
• Prepare marketing material.

You will need to be hardworking, the only people who succeed in this arena are highly resilient and tenacious. We work every day in term time from 7am until 5pm (although this is reduced to 7:30-4:39 when you pass probation and we only work 9-3:30 in school holidays!).

You must:

• Ideally have a driving licence or be taking lessons.
• Have a degree in any subject
• Be a brilliant relationship builder
• Ideally have some sales experience
• Be motivated to earn money and gain promotions!
