Role: Head of Finance Location: Leyland Salary: Up to 52k

I am currently recruiting for a growing client within the education sector, looking for a Head of Finance to support the CFO. This is a brand new role due to growth within the business. It is a great opportunity offering some fantastic benefits, including a 20% pension contribution from the employer.

An ideal candidate will have experience of producing month end management accounts and also managing a team. You do not need experience in the education sector although this is desirable.

Tasks include:

• Preparation of monthly accruals for posting into the accounting system.
• Input data using the in-house accounting system database.
• Interpretation of key control account reconciliations and authorisation on a monthly basis
• Analysis of key nominal accounts in support of figures contained within the Management Accounts
• Production of monthly Management Accounts pack, including KPI reporting and periodic reforecasting asrequired.
• Production of monthly accounts commentary to ensure academy performance is understood, includingvariances against budget for categories of income and expenditure.
• Liaison with other members of staff in relation to general financial issues.
• Extensive support in budgetary processes and activities to enable clear annual budgets to be produced at academylevel.
• Financial analysis and project work as may be required from time to time in support of strategic decision making atAcademy and Trust level.
• Provision of information to support the CFO in submitting various statutory returns during the year.
• Annual audit: co-ordination of yearend audit and play a pivotal role in fieldwork to ensure successful delivery ofunadjusted financial statements
