Reed Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working exclusively with a local public sector organisation who are looking for a passionate, proactive and self-motivated fully qualified Senior Finance professional to step into their Regional Head of Finance role. The position is full time, permanent offering a salary in the region of £65,000 depending upon experience. As well as offering hybrid working and a wealth of public sector benefits.
Regional Head of Finance duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for providing high-quality financial management
Lead on the development of budgets and financial plans
Meet regularly with senior leadership to discuss financial strategy, monthly management accounts and forecasts
Management of financial procedures and compliance
Up to date knowledge of applicable accounting standards and legislation
Promote a culture of continuous improvement
Manage the provision of year-end statutory accounts
Work with the Financial Controller and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis
Line management of four members of a finance team
Experience sought:
Fully qualified – ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CIPFA etc.
Experience in a Senior Finance role
Experience in financial management and compliance – preferably within the public sector
Experience in a business partnering role working closely with senior stakeholders
Line managerial experience
Excellent negotiation skills
Extensive experience managing budgets
Liaising with auditors
Full UK clean driving license
