Lotus Innovative Technology LTD Head of Legal, Automotive Industry Lotus Technology Innovative Limited, based in London, is seeking an exceptional Head of Legal to lead our legal team in the dynamic and fast-paced automotive industry. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team of 4-6 legal professionals, ensuring that they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality legal services to the business. You will report to the Legal and Compliance Director and be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to senior management and business units, and for ensuring that the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations. You will be responsible for minimizing risk exposure for the company and should have significant experience in managing legal affairs and risks, as well as developing legal professionals. Role Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of 4-6 legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them grow and develop in their roles. Develop and implement legal strategies that support the company’s objectives and help to manage legal risk, paying exceptional attention to detail. Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and business units, ensuring that they understand legal implications and risks associated with their decisions and actions. Working closely with the Compliance team in ensuring that the company’s procedures comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and identify areas where improvements can be made. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other service providers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality services that meet the company’s needs. Minimize risk exposure for the company by developing and implementing strategies to identify and manage legal risks, and by maintaining appropriate procedures. Ensure that the company is prepared to respond to legal disputes by overseeing litigation matters and working with external counsel as necessary, while also being able to resolve complex and strategic issues. Collaborate with legal teams across the globe to ensure consistent application of legal strategies and best practices. Develop and deliver legal training and educational programs to staff and stakeholders as required. Requirements: Significant experience in managing legal affairs and risks, as well as developing legal professionals in the automotive industry. Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; a master’s degree or other relevant qualification is an added advantage. Excellent legal and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop a team of 4-6 legal professionals. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in minimizing risk profile for the company. Must be driven, ambitious, and switched on. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and external stakeholders, while also being able to resolve complex and strategic issues.
