Key Responsibilities of the ICT Teacher: Innovative Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive ICT lessons, tailored to the individual needs and abilities of students with special educational needs. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technology to create an inclusive learning environment. Support student development in digital literacy, computer skills, and problem-solving. Individualized Support: Provide personalized support and differentiation to meet the unique learning needs of students. Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to student progress. Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum, sharing resources and best practices. Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and celebrating achievements. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training opportunities to enhance your teaching practice. Requirements: PGCE or relevant teaching qualification. Specialization in ICT or Computer Science. Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a SEN school setting. Strong knowledge of the ICT curriculum and the ability to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet individual student needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and professionals.
