The Private Equity investors are looking to exit the business and want an Interim CFO who is experienced in financial services to come in and hit the ground running, helping to ensure the best multiple on exit.

The ideal candidate will be immediately available, have experience preparing a business for sale as a CFO and have previously worked in a PE backed business.

The Role

• Hands on candidate to manage the day-to-day finance function
• Prepare and co-ordinate monthly board reporting for the FD and CFO
• Drive and coordinate month end closing, ensuring timely and accurate close
• Preparation of Board Packs
• Maintain strong financial control of balance sheets and working capital including cash flow
• Building out reporting processes and controls
• Balance Sheet reconciliation (payroll, pension, intercompany, bank, loans)

The Requirements

• Experience within the Media sector preferred
• Thorough technical knowledge, including management accounting and financial reporting

Qualifications:

• ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants) qualification is essential.
• 2 years industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial due diligence, acquisitions, or related accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial information to stakeholders at various levels.
