We are thrilled to be partnering a fantastic, ever expanding, FMCG business in Peterborough, who are looking for an interim Group Senior Reporting Manager on a 12 month basis, paying a daily rate of up to £600 per day.
Purpose:
The Group Senior Reporting Manager is a key member of the Group Finance team, responsible for external Group financial reporting, the delivery of the external audit and delivery of management and statutory information for the Group’s senior management. Proven experience in a financial reporting role, strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure are required to succeed in this role.
Accountabilities:
To effectively lead, support and develop direct reports including management of performance, coaching and development
Own the delivery of management and statutory information for the Group’s senior management. Includes review of business performance to identify key drivers for reporting to the Board
Oversee the external audit of the Group’s statutory Financial Statements and Annual Report & Accounts; point person for external auditors, ownership of reporting timetable and audit delivery, dealing with any issues, drafting papers on technical accounting matters, drafting Audit Committee and Group Board papers
Preparation of the PLC half year and full year financial reporting, and quarterly trading updates, together with financial content for results presentations for investors / analysts
Preparation of technical accounting papers to support subjective accounting treatments and new standards
Develop and oversee capital reporting across the Group, including measurement of returns on invested capital and actual project spend against budget
Preparation of covenant and other reporting to the Group’s banks
Maintain relationship with pension advisers and agree assumptions to be used for IAS 19 reporting purposes
Provide timely and accurate information to banks, auditors and professional advisers to support refinancing and Group’s financial viability in the longer term
Must Have:
Qualified accountant – ACA or equivalent
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience, ideally gained in a practice environment with plc experience
Qualified at a top tier accountancy firm
Strong technical knowledge across all key accounting areas
Prior experience of working directly with auditors on year-end reporting, including effective resolution of any audit issues and ownership of judgemental areas
Strong ability to assimilate detailed and complex information, and be able to distil and communicate key messages in a clear and concise way
Prior experience of management reporting to senior management
Strong leadership skills, with proven experience of managing senior stakeholders and developing a team
