At Barfoots, you will begin an exciting journey as an integral team member, reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for supporting our core business applications including SharePoint and our SQL based ERP system Prophet. Assisting with the support, management and administration of the business applications and IT systems, you will be capable of effective problem resolution and associated software administration

Requirements

As an IT Application Support Technician, you will be an integral member of the team and will provide first and second line application support, development of systems and delivery of IT projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of IT to ensure business developments are supported by appropriate IT solutions
• Undertake administration and maintenance of user accounts on internal and external applications.

• Perform preventative maintenance work on IT applications and systems
• To plan, manage and implement application and system projects, developments and upgrades to meet individual, team and company objectives.
• Participate as part of a team in trouble shooting and resolution of larger IT System issues.
• Participate in efforts related to Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management.
• Maintaining up to date documentation and user guides on IT systems and applications
• Liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for the ongoing support and maintenance of relevant systems and applications.
• To ensure that technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with Barfoots standards, policies and procedures.
• To ensure that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimise all disruption to existing business use and in line with Barfoots change control procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvement
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues in the IT team
• Assist with end user IT training
• Ensure the IT Helpdesk is kept up to date, all calls are being responded to and users are kept up to date
• Maintain appropriate records of time spent and actions taken on all work carried out
• Identify opportunities for continued improvement
• Deployment of new on premise and cloud systems and applications
• To liaise with users regarding escalated issues and to agree appropriate courses of action and priorities

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within an IT environment
• Entire Software Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of SharePoint including workflows/document libraries
• Experience in developing applications with customisations and integrations
• EDI Administration
• Microsoft .Net Framework Technologies
• Application Patch Management
• SQL Server

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
