Job Title: IT Lead

Location: Southport

Salary: £39,000 per annum

Benefits: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Christmas shutdown

Our client, a prominent educational institution in Southport, is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Lead to join their dynamic team. As the IT Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing senior-level technical support and acting as an escalation point for IT-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior second and third-line technical support, troubleshooting complex IT issues efficiently and effectively.
• Act as an escalation point for IT-related problems, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the educational institution’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT staff and academic faculty to identify technology needs and develop solutions that support educational goals.
• Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and optimal system performance.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of the IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements.
• Lead and support IT projects, coordinating with stakeholders and managing resources to deliver successful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior IT support role, preferably within the educational sector.
• Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex issues efficiently.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
• A valid driving license to facilitate travel
• A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality IT services.
• Experience in project management and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Familiarity with IT policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance and data security.
