Rooftop is delighted to be a key partner in an innovative Worcestershire consortium who has been successful in securing £6 million of Lottery Building Better Opportunities (BBO) and European Social Investment Funding.
Worcestershire’s Building Better Opportunities project has been shaped by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and The National Lottery Community Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2 to invest in local projects tacking the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.
About the role
Joining us as Job Coach, you will provide an individualised support service to referred participants of the project on how to access work, education or training. You will contribute to the development and delivery of BBO projects, including working to agreed BBO programme management and reporting targets and achieving BBO outcomes and results.
You will successfully manage a case load to ensure positive outcomes for individuals and families and support participants experiencing social and economic barriers, assisting with job readiness skills, job search strategies, CV building and preparing for job interviews. You will also assess the need for assistance such as further vocational training or learning, assist participants to access individual grants and collect job market information such as job openings, entry and skills requirements and other occupational information which will assist participants in seeking employment.
Enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is required in accordance with safeguarding policies.
This role is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
We’re looking for an individual who has exceptional communication and organisational skills and who has experience of working in a similar role, working with a diverse range of participants with varying learning needs and levels of competence. With a strong customer focus, you will have worked in an outcomes focused environment and be able to provide evidence of the benefits of a service. You’ll be competent when it comes to assessing participants in work programmes and be able to successfully engage with employment and corporate partners.
A Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or Advice and Guidance is desirable.
