Junior Power Platform Developer – interviewing immediately! Location: Rochester (on-site) Salary: up to £25,000 Job Summary: My client are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Power Platform Developer to join their team. This can be an entry-level role, where you will be fully trained in Power Platform Development, so no previous experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their development career, looking for their first commercial role, with great training. As a Junior Power Platform Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform to develop innovative business solutions. While prior experience in Power Platform development is not required, a foundation in general coding principles and a passion for learning and growing in the Power Platform space are essential. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the development team and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Power Platform solutions. Design, develop, test, and deploy Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Customise and extend the functionality of Power Apps using formulas, expressions, and custom components. Create efficient data models and integrate Power Platform solutions with external data sources using connectors and APIs. Collaborate with other developers to ensure smooth integration of Power Platform applications with existing systems and workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power Platform applications, providing timely support and maintenance. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power Platform development and leverage that knowledge to propose innovative solutions. Assist in documentation and knowledge sharing to facilitate efficient collaboration within the team.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience or an apprenticeship in software development will also be considered. Strong understanding of fundamental coding principles and experience with at least one programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and break down complex business requirements into technical solutions. Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. A self-driven individual who is eager to learn and embrace new technologies. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience or exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus. Familiarity with database concepts and experience working with SQL databases. Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools such as APIs, RESTful services, and connectors. Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies would be advantageous.
