We at Randstad Education are seeking knowledgeable, caring, and confident Key Stage 1 teachers to work with Randstad Education supporting primary schools located within the BB1 postcode. Randstad supports these schools with day to day, short term, and long term cover, which means we can look to find you flexible part time work that fits around YOUR schedule, or we can look to secure you a long term position – it is all dependent on what kind of work you are looking for. The ideal candidate will excel as an active listener due to their outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. They will be a self-motivated lifelong learner themselves, and will aim to inspire their candidates to be the same! They will have an endless supply of compassion and patience, as well as a great sense of humour! Lessons planned and delivered will be informative, interesting and informative whilst accurately reflecting the given curriculum, and classroom support staff will be utilised effectively and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and preparation of daily activities, materials, and lessons according to curriculum.
• Proactively ensuring the safeguarding of all pupils.
• Teach children through learning and play.
• Monitor and record students’ progress and development.
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding their childrens’ development.
• Upholding the school’s values and ethos.
• Attending faculty meetings.
• Be proactive in personal professional development.

Essential requirements:

• Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS, etc.)
• An in-depth knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
• Classroom experience.
• A minimum of two references covering two years.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Desired requirements:

• DBS on the update service. Randstad is committed to ensuring the safety of young children; therefore all candidates will be subjected to an enhanced DBS check and verifiable professional reference checks.
• The flexibility to work across multiple year groups, including KS2 and EYFS.
