What it’s like being an apprentice laboratory technician

You will be part of a well-established, successful, and growing company, where you will work to maintain and improve the technical capabilities of the company, and to support its development activities. You will work alongside expert and experienced people in all aspects of the business, in roles that will have chemistry at their core.

Here are just some of the tasks you will be involved in:

• Operate laboratory machinery, namely mixing and press-moulding equipment
• Use analytical equipment to test properties of manufactured or development products
• Carry out wet-chemical analyses of chemicals or chemical admixtures
• Troubleshoot problems in the manufacturing plant, and design and conduct laboratory scale experiments to solve them
• Record experimental observations and outcomes in laboratory notebooks and communicate them to project leaders
• Test new raw materials in formulations, to ensure that quality and costs are maintained
• Carry out Product Development projects.
• Work with sophisticated colour-matching equipment

The Package
