Lead Java Engineer – Leeds – 1 day in the office per week

The Bridge IT are recruiting for a Lead Java Developer to join a financial client in West Yorkshire, regularly ranked on Glassdoor as one of the best places to work in the UK.

As a Lead Engineer you will responsible for delivering microservices and APIs to work across not just your squad but the company as a whole. You will be accountable for all aspects of technical quality within your squad, such as: Technical Design, Leadership, Release & Deployment and Assurance.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Excellent knowledge of Java and Microservices.
• Restful Design, working with API Gateway products (Google Apigee or equivalent)
• Experience of Containers and Container Orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Worked with CI/CD Pipelines – Gitlab, Jenkins, Artifactory.
