You will be work at Ty Gwyn Hall, a rehabilitation and recovery service for people who have been diagnosed with a range of mental health conditions. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and CPD, where you will have access to a range of training opportunities to move your career forward.
As a Lead Psychologist, you will support people with mental health needs and will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working, risk assessments, facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and will be requested to design and deliver training.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the systematic development and provision of psychology services at Ty Gwyn Hall, where you will support and develop a team of qualified and in-training Psychologists, providing supervision within a clinical environment.

Support the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of working
Work with internal and external agencies in order to enhance treatment pathways for service users
To provide psychological assessments of service users based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the service users care
To develop and manage group work programmes and innovative therapeutic approaches
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical or Forensic Psychology OR Masters level training in Forensic Psychology, which has led to chartered status with the Division of Forensic Psychology
At least three years experience working with adults with complex mental health needs
Experience using CBT skills to address a range of clinical and/or forensic concerns
