Lead Python Developer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires a Lead Developer to be based in their client’s office in London, UK.

This is a hybrid role. You can work remotely in the UK and attend the London office 1-2 days per week.

This is a 6-month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

Seeking a talented and experienced individual to fulfil the team lead role within the fundamentals team to design and direct the build of a Microsoft Azure based data platform. The platform is a base for the delivery of data and analytics solutions for Customer’s fundamental analysis capability.
Ensure that development standards are adhered to, and provide input in to how they can be improved
Ensure that all team members are following strong development practices, and taking an active role to coach and improve the team
Be responsible for ensuring that code produced is well designed, fit for purpose, high quality, well tested, defect free, secure, and deployed to production.
Own, with the product manager and solution architect, the technical design for the product

Key Requirements

6+ years’ experience
Experience with REST API and GraphQL
Practical experience designing and building scalable, performant APIs
Strong Python, .NET and SQL skills
Experience with data engineering, data science and other complex mathematical coding – preferably you have a statistics or maths background
Hands on experience with SOLID principles and design pattern
Cloud/Azure/Containerization
