Denholm are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading integrated utilities provider who are a world leader in wind energy. Currently, they are investing heavily in the renewables side of their business, specifically within offshore wind and are looking for an experience Lead Value Engineer to join their business.The role of the Lead Value Engineer will be to lead and manage the preparation for the business case presented for biddin auctions as well as supporting the evaluation of the early stage offshore wind projects and new opportunities in the company’s growing portfolio. You’ll be joining a team which has responsibility across a wide range of activities related to evaluating, optimising and increasing the value of offshore wind projects.This is a great opportunity for someone who has the leadership skills of managing a small team, who can utilise their previous knowledge and experience within wind projects and can effectively analyse the data and understand data trends and that thrives in an autonomous environment.Required skills:
At least 5 years’ of experience working in a similar role
Good understanding of financial, commercial and business principles
Strong self-performance and delivery focused with the ability to balance conflicting requirements on quality, cost and time.
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Strong team worker, innovative and creative thinker.
Strong influencing skills as well as excellent written and verbal communications.
High capacity for change and experience of leading people through change.
Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB or similar).
