Celsian Education are looking to appoint a flexible and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a primary school in Rochdale for the summer term. The role will start after the Easter break and will be 3 days a week and will involve working with a child on a 121 basis in Year 3, who requires additional support throughout the school day in the classroom and around school.
All short listed candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one. Also, you will be required to provide sufficient references to cover a minimum of the last 2 years, 1 of which must be from a school or other educational establishment.
To be successful for this Learning Support Assistant role you will need:
Experience working with young people with SEND
A calm and positive attitude
Experience working with Key stage 2 children
Excellent behaviour management with knowledge of various de-escalation techniques
To build strong relationships with both students and staff
Experience of implementing specific learning strategies and routines.
