Xenia has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and communicative Management Accountant to work out of our growing office, in Sawbridgeworth. You will work closely with the Head of Finance to assist with the management of the Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Operations (Insurance Accounts and Accounts Payable), ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operational and financial management, for Xenia Broking Ltd
Key Responsibilities:
to assist the Head of Finance with;
The production of the monthly management accounts, cash flow and balance sheets.
Preparing month end and completing the month end close process.
FCA returns.
O&S returns
Business analytics and reporting to group
Forecasting and budgeting profit & loss, cash flow and balance sheets.
Responsible for continuous improvement of financial controls.
Managing the cash position.
Continuous improvement of the business unit’s cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
Help to execute tax planning opportunities to minimise tax payable by the Group.
Assist the Group VAT return and payment process.
Support the broader business in all tax related affairs.
Monitors timely payment of all invoices, ensuring appropriate controls are in place and adhered to.
Continuous improvement of all Financial Operations processes.
Continual reporting and escalation of process to the business in order to ensure compliance with finance policies.
Managing a team of 2
Complete a minimum of 15 hours of continuous professional development annually.
Refer any matter beyond the level of an individual’s experience or authority to their line manager.
The Successful Candidate – A qualified accountant with +2 years’ experience and a strong understanding of the insurance industry. You will need to be ACCA or CIMA qualified, have a strong ability to communicate well with stakeholders and prior people management experience.
