Are you a qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) Management Accountant / Finance Manager who just loves to number crunch and is awesome at data analysis looking for a new challenge.

If you are then I am seeking an experienced Management Accountant / Finance Manager for a long-standing client of mine – be warned they are great but VERY BUSY, so it’ll be quite handy if you are good juggler that’s for sure .

To really excel in this role , my client is looking for someone who enjoys data analysis and is confident to explain/communicate said data to department heads – there is quite a lot of data to work through, also revenue recognition is another area importance.

You day to day role will look like this:

• Supervision Purchase Ledger Assistants
• You will play a part in Mentorship and development of Finance Apprentices.
• Responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts to a stage of completion that is ready topresent to management within a strict deadline.
• Completion of an established reporting pack
• Management of monthly ledger close, co-ordinating with other departments to ensure they are ready on time.
• Liaising with department heads to resolve anomalies and explain results.
• Turnover reconciliations
• Cost and margin analysis
• Payroll journals
• Comparison to budget
• Short term forecasting
• Balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Supervision of work-in-progress analysis
• Supervision of accruals and prepayments accrued and deferred income transacting.
• Supervision and reconciliation of March year end stock count
• Assistance with year-end audit process
• Analysis of large volumes of data within the service department to enhance productivity.
• Process improvement.

Salary:

• Up to £50k
• Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, more would be appreciated.
