Mechanical & Electrical (MEP) Quantity Surveyor – Retail

We are currently recruiting for M&E Quantity Surveyors for sites across the UK. This is a Sunday Times Top 100 Employer. A global company with a strong UK presence specialising in offering project management and consultancy services to the construction industry.

You will be using your knowledge of M&E to support internal clients and enhance submissions to external clients. Ideally you will be experienced in retail schemes, new stores and existing refurbishments. You will possess good technical leadership from providing stakeholders with specialised M&E advice to broadening your legal and technical knowledge and participating in training initiatives.

You will have great communication skills and be able to build long term relationships and develop new opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to develop a new specialist M&E QS team.

The role would suit individuals with QS / CM experience within a specialist MEP / building services firm or construction consultancy environment who enjoys delivering projects and would prefer to focus on this rather than client development / winning work etc.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
• Background in retail
• Strong technical delivery experience.
• Desire to become chartered / MRICS or achieved.
• Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery.
• Able to build long-term relationships.
• Previously employed by a consultancy, client, or specialist M&E firm.
• Desire to deliver multiple projects in London, the UK and Europe.
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
• A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
