Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer We are recruiting a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, with mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience, plus a practical understanding of PLCs and an aptitude for fault finding and problem solving. Key role and responsibilities for Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer; Investigating and fixing faults on biomass boilers, combined heat and power (CHP) units, heat pumps and solar PV systems. Trouble shooting and problem solving to ensure the renewable energy systems work efficiently and effectively. Assisting with the installation of renewable energy systems. Reporting all work done back to the office via software on Android tablet. Recording parts used to ensure stock is kept up to date. Basic hours of work 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday overtime (paid at base rate x 1.5) often available. Minimum requirements for Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer; Confident enough to work alone, using your own initiative to problem solve and fix. Back up is always available from other members of the team where required. Working knowledge of at least some of the following: biomass boilers, CHP units, heat pumps and/or solar PV would be desirable. Experience of working with mechanical and electrical equipment required. Any qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering would be an advantage. Driving licence is essential as work takes place at customer s home/site. Experience of working with PLCs would be an advantage. Flexibility is required, as the work will involve some travel, and also occasional overnight stays. The ability to do some overtime (which is often available, paid at base rate x 1.5) would be desirable. We are a small friendly family business, situated in the countryside just south of Shrewsbury. We are innovative and forward thinking, and we aim to increase the use of renewable energy solutions through installation and maintenance of solar PV systems with or without batteries, biomass boilers, ground-source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, and CHP units. What we offer for Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Competitive salary expected earnings £40k + including overtime (paid at base rate x 1.5). Tools, uniform and PPE are provided. Company van is provided (which can be used for commuting to and from site).
