We are currently working with a lovely secondary school in Hayes. They are currently looking to recruit a Music Teaching and Learning Assistantto work across the school, whilst also being assigned to the music department to cover supervise and grow within the music department. You will start off on a long term basis, with a view to go permanent with the school!

The school offers a progressive staff structure which internal and external training, with opportunities for teacher training also after 1 year as a Teaching and Learning Assistant.

Key responsibilities of Music TA:

• You will be assigned to the Music department – to cover supervise within the department with the guidance of by the subject lead and deputy heads.
• Provide in class support, and support accordingly to EHCP students within the class
• Leading your own form group of upto 20 – 25 students, holding responsibility for their enhancement, attendance and academic growth.
• Conducting attendance and registration checks, and responsible as the point of contact for form group and their parents.
• Under the guidance of the SENCO, contribute to setting individual targets and to the review of those targets. Attend and contribute to meetings to review students’ progress, and contribute to written reports

Key Requirements of Music Teaching and Learning Assistant:

• Must have a degree level qualification in music, singing, musical theatre, performing arts or other related topics.
• Previous work experience within a school or other child related experience
• Professional manner
• Enthusiasm and friendly approach
• Experience or knowledge within special educational needs
