As such, we require a new Deputy General Manager to provide professional and managerial leadership to a large team of staff and be responsible for the direction and provision of services associated with Covid.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the COO and the General Manager, you will lead and shape the delivery of new service opportunities, defining tangible and measurable outcomes required by the organisation to realise the Trust’s strategic direction. You will contribute towards the strategic and operational management of Covid including attendance to all National and local Covid meetings, while representing the views, concerns and priorities of the Covid service, which ensures that corporate and directorate objectives are achieved within agreed timescales. Your role will be responsible for providing this documentation to the COO and UK Executive Board and their suppliers, covering regular financial reviews and setting clear accountability and responsibility for delivery management of all aspects of the portfolio and regional programmes.
What you’ll need to succeed
Your success will be driven by your proven track record in leading medium to large teams, together with a deep understanding of NHS policies and its environment, as well as regulatory standards underpinning clinical, laboratory and technical aspects. You will have sound knowledge of relevant current guidelines, standards and best practice including Health & Safety, COSHH, CPA, UKAS process and quality issues. You will have demonstrable experience line managing large cross-functional teams and be highly distinguished in your communication, possessing the ability to present and articulate ideas clearly and concisely at board level.
What you’ll get in return
You will be rewarded with a generous rate of up to £315 per day with a contract that is very likely to extend.
