Reed Education are working with a unique Nursery in Chertsey who are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Room Leader. Their nursery is unlike any other, offering a wide range of extraordinary features including a farm, maze, double-decker bus, galleon, Teletubby hill, and more!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Room Leader in managing daily operations and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged babies up to preschool
• Supporting the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.
• Assisting with the supervision and development of a team of dedicated nursery staff.
• Building strong relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, health, and safety guidelines, and nursery policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a genuine passion for childcare.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Sound knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
• An understanding of and commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality in an educational setting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and safeguarding procedures.
