We are currently partnered with a mid-market Private Equity fund who are looking to invest in an organisation that is focussed on organic growth journey. The business requires a first-class CFO; to drive on the next phase of growth – looking to grow to c. £5-7m EBITDA over the next few years. A good quality CEO is searching for a strategic business partner to play an instrumental role in building a robust finance function and post deal professionalisation; setting the strategy for finance and helping prepare for exit in 3-4 years.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate will have experience of working in a private equity backed business in a growth setting previously.
• Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Work closely with the CEO and significant shareholders
• Strong leadership skills
• M&A experience
• Previous experience as the no.1 at a professional services business

The Role

• Hands on candidate to manage the day-to-day finance function
• Prepare and co-ordinate monthly board reporting for the FD and CFO
• Drive and coordinate month end closing, ensuring timely and accurate close
• Preparation of Board Packs
• Maintain strong financial control of balance sheets and working capital including cash flow
• Building out reporting processes and controls
• Balance Sheet reconciliation (payroll, pension, intercompany, bank, loans)

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
