As experts in protection systems for critical plant and machinery (effectively diesel and gas engines), this established company offer a full engineering service to clients; ranging from independent specialist firms to large global conglomerates and they pride themselves on offering an excellent service to all.
Due to an enviable and sustainable order book, they are now looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Production Controller to coordinate and expedite production scheduling for all production, repair, and warranty areas of the business.
The RoleReporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Managing Works Order Scheduling, as well as Production & Capacity Planning
Communicate and agree despatch dates / deadlines with involved parties.
Manage production meetings and communicate reports and updates to those involved.
Provide corrective actions if deadlines are at risk of slipping.
Coordinating with Operations and Aftersales to complete schedules for repair and warranty jobs for the workshop
Develop and roll-out any improvements in efficiency or effectiveness. This includes developing relevant KPIs and meaningful targets.
Manage maintenance schedules for the manufacturing areas.
Coordinate with the QHSE Officer to ensure calibrations are up to date, as well as carrying out Risk Assessments, and helping with any ISO14001 audits.
Working with all aspects of manufacture, design, purchasing, quality, and approvals, with the relevant managers.
The PersonIn order to be considered for this Production Controller role you will need:
Relevant experience within a manufacturing production control position
A sound understanding of manufacturing processes.
Relevant academic or vocational qualification relating to manufacturing production control.
Solid HSEQ knowledge and ideally IOSH certified.
An ability to work with an integrated CRM system (AX ideally but others will be considered)
Experience of change management and rolling out new procedures to a varied and diverse workforce
Commercial awareness and understanding of financial aspects of production.
