Description

The Production Engineering Manager will oversee a varied team of engineering skills including on site process and project engineers. they will lead with a hands-on approach in a collaborative but accountable style

they will also:

• Be key in identifying and Implementing new technologies, including specification of requirements, capex justification, planning and implementation
• Be capable of supporting cross functional teams to improve plant KPIs, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality and scrap reduction objectives accomplishment
• A proven leader within manufacturing projects and production engineering – cradle to grave ownership
• Committed to wanting to make a difference and developing their team’s potential
• Be pivotal in managing all the resources associated with their team
• Be able to co-ordinate, manage and distribute data to all parts of the business
• A passion for delivering manufacturing innovation

Profile

• An Engineering Degree
• Show strong leadership skills
• Ability to mentor engineers
• Strong Project skills
• Strong Health and Safety Knowledge – NEBOSH/IOSH would be advantageous
• Background in Assembly Manufacturing would be advantageous
• Knowledge of automation would be advantageous
• A strong Lean / Six Sigma Knowledge – Green Belt minimum expectation
• Strong people management skills
• High communicator – all levels
• Good Data skills

Job Offer

£50,000-£65,000 plus benefits
