Description
The Production Engineering Manager will oversee a varied team of engineering skills including on site process and project engineers. they will lead with a hands-on approach in a collaborative but accountable style
they will also:
Be key in identifying and Implementing new technologies, including specification of requirements, capex justification, planning and implementation
Be capable of supporting cross functional teams to improve plant KPIs, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality and scrap reduction objectives accomplishment
A proven leader within manufacturing projects and production engineering – cradle to grave ownership
Committed to wanting to make a difference and developing their team’s potential
Be pivotal in managing all the resources associated with their team
Be able to co-ordinate, manage and distribute data to all parts of the business
A passion for delivering manufacturing innovation
Profile
An Engineering Degree
Show strong leadership skills
Ability to mentor engineers
Strong Project skills
Strong Health and Safety Knowledge – NEBOSH/IOSH would be advantageous
Background in Assembly Manufacturing would be advantageous
Knowledge of automation would be advantageous
A strong Lean / Six Sigma Knowledge – Green Belt minimum expectation
