Project Manager Inchinnan, Glasgow Permanent position Who we are: JFD is the world leading underwater capability provider, serving the commercial and defence markets with innovative diving, submarine and hyperbaric rescue, technical solutions and services. About the role: As JFD Global continues to expand there is the requirement to grow the Project Management Organisation within the business to support both existing and new contracts. In order to support this growth an opportunity exists for a Project Manager to join the organisation. This role would entail the planning and successful delivery of tasks across multiple projects. Your key responsibilities will also include: Ensure that assigned tasks are delivered in a safe manner, to schedule, within budget and in accordance with customer requirements, as defined in the Contract. Ensure projects are executed in accordance with JFD s Global Project Execution Process(GPEP) and associated procedures and that the governance is maintained throughout the project. Work with HSEQ Department to ensure compliance with all Safety, Quality and Environmental and policies, processes and procedures. Accurately communicate project status and performance (weekly & monthly reporting) to internal and external stakeholders, in accordance with the approved reporting processes. Identify, actively manage risks and opportunities. Manage project constraints / conflicts (e.g. resource, schedule demands) Support the management of change control and contract variations Support activities associated with sub-contractor and equipment selection and acquisition with JFD s commercial and procurement functions. Assign and manage tasks to vendors, engineering, production and support functions. Manage and coordinate effective communication between key stakeholders for the purpose of resolving technical, commercial or procurement issues. What do you need? A willingness to take ownership and accountability for tasks and drive to completion along with the focus to deliver on high quality output within tight deadlines and willing to go the extra mile to ensure success is achieved. You will need to be a good communication skills, articulate and a good presenter with the ability to work as part of a team with a range of skills and personalities and managing appropriately in order to achieve positive outcomes but also in independently when required. Organised, self-motivated and confident in using own initiative you will be methodical and thorough whilst generating and checking documentation / deliverables. The ability to adapt to changing scope or client demands while being focused on delivering cost efficient solutions on time and budget. Good reasoning and problem-solving skills and with the ability to think laterally and capable of reacting to change. The ability to multi-task and delivering to tight deadlines and specifications and be comfortable with maintaining and controlling project documentation, costs and procedures. You will need the desire, drive and flexibility to successfully deliver within a challenging environment. Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in a project management, engineering, or project coordinating role within a similar environment – Subsea/offshore/defence background. Previous experience of commercially sensitive projects and the security aspects this entails. Awareness of working to marine, defence standards and international quality & safety standards would be advantageous. Be flexible and available to travel worldwide in support of project activities. Full clean driving licence. Would hold existing or be able to obtain SC level clearance. As part of this role you may be required to travel to projects or clients which in some cases may be overseas, therefore a flexible approach to your working pattern is needed.
