We’re recruiting for a Property Lawyer to join our team in Kent and we’re looking for exceptional people to apply.
You’ll be responsible for providing high quality legal advice and representation on property related matters and other legal matters to all internal clients. To undertake freehold and leasehold (residential and commercial) conveyancing, including the drafting of property related transactional documents and advising on regulatory issues.
Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Personally, to provide legal advice and assistance in property matters, including undertaking freehold and leasehold, residential and commercial, conveyancing transactions and drafting transfers, leases, development agreements, management agreements, service charge deeds, reports on title and other property related documents, in order to protect the interests of Clarion.
To assist in developing the in-house legal provision to meet the needs of Clarion and its Group partners, ensuring that legal work is carried out in-house where this is more cost effective to do so (but subject to capacity) and that communication between instructing officers and the Legal Services Team is effective and efficient.
To assist in the provision of training to officers across the Group on property law and other matters to develop the skills of officers across the Group.
To keep abreast of the constitutional, legal and regulatory framework within which housing associations operate and to ensure that such knowledge is disseminated to encourage a knowledgeable and compliance focussed culture.
To support the other members of the Property Legal Services Team.
To be successful in this role we’ll require you to have significant experience as a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience of undertaking residential and commercial conveyancing and property advice, particularly for housing associations or other public sector bodies.
